Therapist & Educator

Life is a journey full of hills and valleys, sunshine, rain, and storms. There are times we can navigate through this territory independently and times we need a reliable companion. Whether it be gaining courage to move forward, finding ways to cope, gaining steadiness for your journey, or learning skills to help us move on, it can be comforting knowing that there are people out there that can help us find mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional balance. My hope is that I can provide for you the tools you will need to become a stronger, courageous individual.

With the current state of confusion in our world, many individuals young and old are struggling with finding ways to cope with the many challenges that they face causing frustration, sadness, anger, anxiety, withdrawal, and rage. With all this going on it is easy for our energy levels and mood to become dysregulated. Often this dysregulation is due to our disconnect from our spiritual, physical, or emotional self. I can help an individual learn how to find this balance to help them learn how to self regulate so that they can be better prepared to cope with our ever changing world.

I am NYS licensed Mental Health Counseling, Licensed Professional Counselor in CT, and a certified NYS Special Education Teacher K-12, with over 25 years of classroom experience. Within the classroom I provided trust, understanding, support, and empathy in a safe place, which allowed my students to seek and find the skills and solutions they needed to overcome the challenges they faced. In my sessions I work with my clients to provide the same environment as we move along their journey. My therapeutic approach is to join my client where they are currently and help them determine where they wish to go while providing support and understanding. This is accomplished through a multi-modal approach to whole body wellness which integrates sensory integration, social emotional learning, movement, music, creativity, spirituality, mindfulness, and psycho-education.
