Writing Your Story
Storytelling has always been a traditional and important tool for many cultures throughout history. There have been many women who have shown courage, strength, independence, and valor when faced with challenges and obstacles that seemed impossible to overcome. These women have inspired those around them, as well as others to join their quest to βfight their battlesβ even when the odds were against them.
Although these women have made their way into the history books, they are not the only ones who have the ability to inspire others to face their challenges and work towards a better life. We all have the ability to inspire each other by sharing our own life events and story. One never knows how sharing their life story might motivate another to face their challenges and write a new ending to their story.
A memoir-writing exercise is a great way to encourage creativity and explore new ideas about yourself and others. Writing your memoir can help you learn more about your ancestors, search for your identity, gain insight into the past, or heal from a traumatic experience. Writing gives people a second chance to create another version of their lives.
The main goal of the Womanβs empowerment group – Writing Your Story is to provide a sacred space in which women can help other women heal through storytelling and writing.

Objectives of Group:
To provide a non-intimidating environment to encourage orally sharing oneβs story
To aid in the development of a different perspective on an experience or event
To develop a connection with another woman who may have had a similar experience.
To find support and comfort within the group
Open to woman 18 years and older. Group is limited to 6 members. Total cost is $120 for 4 weeks

Finding Your Inner Peace
Our active roles as career women, mothers, wives, caretakers, or partners can deplete us of our energy and inner peace. We often neglect our own comforts in order to take care of the needs of others. Our constant running or busyness prevents us from recharging ourselves through relaxation or self-care causing us to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and depleted.
It’s time to restore your energy and find inner peace again. Join me for an hour of peacefulness through mindful activities that will enable you to become grounded and less overwhelmed.

Healing Through Faith
Throughout the Bible are stories about women and how their faith has restored themselves, their families, or others. Women are good listeners, teachers, and caregivers. God has blessed women with the ability to express love to others in many ways. Without love, one feels disconnected, lost, and unimportant.
In this group we will explore how God through the lives of women in the Bible and ourselves shows us how to express love, teach, and guide others. Together we will explore these truths with others, growing our faith and understanding of our purpose as believers.
